Hot-rolled sections

REASONS FOR CHOOSING OUR OFFER

  • steel grades that allow for a wide range of applications, e.g. construction steels (S235JR, S275J0, S355J2), boiler steel (16Mo3), corrosion resistant steel (S480W), shipbuilding steel (A), machine steel (E335), steels for thermal improvement (C-25, C-45)
  • ability to perform heat treatment in a normalising furnace
  • possibility to order products with approvals of classification societies (e.g. TDT, DNV) and with the CE sign
  • guarantee of manufacturing quality and precision (e.g. possibility of supplying products with tighter dimensional tolerances)
  • possibility to start production for individual  requirements
  • possibility of immediate purchase from our own stores, whose current stocks are shown on/at the on-line stock

EXAMPLE APPLICATIONS:

Hot-rolled sections are used in many branches of industry, and in particular those such as:

  • extraction industry (e.g. mining machinery and equipment);
  • machine industry (e.g. construction, agricultural and lifting machines and equipment);
  • railway industry (e.g. chassis and body elements of railway and tram wagons, crossovers and other railway accessories);
  • power industry (e.g. electricity pylons, elements for wind power plants);
  • shipbuilding industry (e.g. ships and port fittings);
  • building industry (e.g. steel constructions, bridges, halls);
  • car industry (e.g. trailer and semi-trailer elements);
  • defence industry (e.g. vehicle structural components).

CONDITIONS OF IMPLEMENTATION

FORM OF DELIVERY:

Depending on customer requirements, our products are prepared for sale in raw condition (+AR) or after normalisation (+N). The sections are packed in wire-bound bundles of 2.5 ÷ 5 Mg.

MARKING:

Bundles of sections are labelled with tags indicating the following details:

  • manufacturer’s name,
  • steel grade,
  • melt number,
  • dimensions of sections,
  • length of sections,
  • bundle weight,
  • type of acceptance,
  • for construction products, the CE mark and other parameters of use and properties in accordance with the guidelines of the construction products act.

OPTIONAL LABORATORY TESTS:

  • analysis of the chemical composition of the material
  • ultrasonic, penetrant, magnetic particle testing and visual inspections,
  • Brinell, Vickers or Rockwell hardness testing
  • longitudinal and transverse bending test
  • impact testing at temperatures other than those specified in the grade standard: 20°C ÷(-60°C)
  • macroscopic examinations
  • tighter requirements compared to standards in terms of: Re, Rm, KV, KCU, A5

ADDITIONAL MANUFACTURING OPTIONS:

  • precise cutting:
    • at the angle of 90° (right)
    • min. cut length 1 000 mm
    • length of sections 1 000 ÷ 13 500 mm
    • packaging: bundles fastened with a steel strip or differently as per individual demands
  • permanent marking on the product:
    • made in the course of rolling (e.g. manufacturer’s sign, year, month of manufacture)
    • cold engraving (e.g. manufacturer’s sign, year, month of manufacture),
  • shot blasting.
