WATER AND SEWAGE
Water and wastewater management of HUTA POKÓJ is of simple structure and has typical futures for modern solutions.Using closed-circuit solution has resulted in considerable reduction of in-process water consumption.The company has the following water systems:
- industrial water supply from closed-circuit water system,
- tap water supply with sewage system.
Combined sewage system, connected with closed-circuit industrial water system, has been set up. HUTA POKÓJ owns neither surface nor ground water intakes.
Industrial water from a closed-circuit system is primarily used in production processes.
The system is completed by surface drainage of rain water disposed of in the combined sewage and social wastes pre-treated in sediment traps, which considerably reduces the use of water.In order to allow control of water level, retention based on technical equipment is used.The closed circuit system uses natural terrain shaping which allows gravity drainage with combined sewage system. With the use of that technology, not only water usage is reduced by the use of re-circulation of industrial water, but also the necessity to replenish the circuit with tap water (which would be the case due to natural water evaporation) has been eliminated. In case of exceeding the maximum water level in the circuit, it is possible
 possible to dump excess water to sewage facilities of the water supply and sewerage company, based on a relevant contract. Such dumping is allowed by the relevant water management permit.
Facilities located outside the drainage area drain their wastes to the facilities of the water supply and sewerage company, based on a relevant contract, or to the facility biological waste treatment plant (Bioblok).
